David Lavigne

David Lavigne, a former zoology professor at the University of Guelph, is the science advisor to the International Fund for Animal Welfare. He is the editor of Gaining Ground: In Pursuit of Ecological Sustainability.

Gretchen Fitzgerald

Gretchen Fitzgerald works on fisheries, oil and gas, and invasive species issues at the Ecology Action Centre, Halifax. Her favourite seafoods include crab cakes, pan-fried haddock and wild mussels, boiled on the beach, preferably at Garden Point L’Anse aux Meadows.

John Shearer

John Shearer retired in 2007 after more than 38 years working at the ELA as Senior Biologist and Operations Manager. He lives in Winnipeg and volunteers his services to raise ecological awareness.
